007 is a code phrase for Bond, James Bond. It may in fact be a signalling device for SMERSH or perhaps SPECTRE. Call Vonage immediately and tell them you are on to their little espionage hijinks’s. Demand a new box with no port labeled 007 or you will report them to Q at MI-5.

The second jack is for a fax line or a second phone number. I think the error code is telling you that you haven’t ordered a second line (which costs more).

If you are trying to use more than one phone on the box, just use a regular phone jack splitter.

You may be able to plug the box into any spare phone jack in your house using a spare phone cord extension and all of your phones will be on Vonage, depending on your house’s wiring. This doesn’t work if you keep your land line phone unless you rewire your jacks for two phone lines and all of the phones have a line switch.
