Whenever i lay down and my dg is laying with me when he is not asleep he always gets excited and starts chewing on and puling my hair. At first it was cute but now its just annoying. And it hurts. He is only 9 weeks and whenever i say no he walks away for a second and then comes back and does it again.

He might actually do it because you let him do it at first and he doesn’t get whats wrong. My puppy did that with EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE when he was that age. He still nuts but not for long because my dad is giving him to my mom, where I live. He will get over it. Most puppies just love to play tug of war. Try giving him a tug of war toy. Be careful though, my puppy pooped out rope yesterday.
Luck and Ciao,

Just keep correcting him and stay firm! He will understand. You may also want to keep your hair back in a pony tail for a while. He just thinks he’s playing with you. When you correct him remove your hair from his mouth say NO and then immediately give him one of his toys as a replacement. Many puppies have to learn the chew this not that lesson.
He’s just playing with you and from what you said, you used to let him do it. Just keep saying no and he will learn. You might have another toy for his to chew on at hand so you can replace your hair with something appropriate.
My puppy does this too. He is just trying to play with you. Correct him, and let him play with a toy, because you don’t want a guest to come to your house, and sit down and have your full sized dog come and jump on them, and chew their hair! 😉
Good Luck!
My puppy is 18 months old and 80 pounds and comes up behind us and grabs our hair and tries to take off with it. There isn’t a way to stop her since she is behind us and we have a face full of hair. I think she likes to hear us scream.
He’s playing with you and the hair is easiest for him to grab plus he’s teething. If you don’t like it don’t lay on the floor. Because he’s not going to stop until he’s older. And if you keep pushing him away he is going to feel like you don’t love him.
i think you probably have to give it time! hes just a puppy you have to teach him not to. whenever he pulls on your hair make loud unusual noises like:
BUH BUH BUH!! really fast and try to turn away (if you have long hair) from to see if he will stop. he might just want attention!
hoped it helped!!
yes, i agree. get em’ some chew toys. so he’ll stop biting your hair
He’s treating you like one of his litter-mates. Just don’t lie where he can get to you if it hurts ….. lol
It is young and it doesn’t know what it is and it is trying to break in its teeth. does it bother you?
