The fuel filter is inside the gas tank and is part of the fuel pump assembly.
It is considered a no-maintenance design and doesn’t get replaced as part of general maintenance. It gets intermittently back-flushed. Unless something out-of-the-ordinary happened (e.g., you drove a 6-hour dusty trail with your gas cap off), you shouldn’t need to replace it.
If your fuel filter is the cause of a problem, it is only accessible by lowering the gas tank.

You can access the fuel filter from the cargo area in the back of the Jeep. Pull up the carpet and remove the bolts.
