Where was the following quote first stated: “I don’t know, you tell me. We need to have the strength and power of a football player, the stamina of a marathon runner, and the concentration of a brain surgeon. But we need to put all this together while moving at high speeds on a cold and slippery surface while 5 other guys use clubs to try and kill us, oh yeah did I mention that this whole time we’re standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick? Is ice hockey hard? I don’t know, you tell me. Next question”.
I need video or a reliable source where this quote comes from. I cannot find either and it would be greatly appreciated if you know of something that could help me out! thanks!

Oh god, I just looked everywhere for this hockey quotes book I have, I think there’s a 50% chance it’s in there, but I can’t find it anywhere 🙁
If you want to head to Chapters or something and check the back of the book to see if Shanahan’s in it, it’s called Shooting From the Lip. Even if he’s not in it thought, it’s got some good quotes.

Shanahan can be a great leader and a great example on how to play the game for youngens. So a young team would probably benefit from him most. He can be on the Power Play. He still has a heckuva shot. Maybe Toronto? Edmonton? Los Angeles? Atlanta? I think any team would benefit from some sort of way with having Shanahan. Different teams in different ways, its just a matter of who comes up and makes the right offer.
