Im 13 and i want to get my lip pierced, my aunt said she would take me and pay for it, also theres a few girls my age i know with their lip pierced. but is it legal for a 13 yr old to get her lip pierced if she has parental consent and will they do it at a tattoo parlor? LAST QUESTION; Does it hurt to get your lip pierced, because i might do my eyebrow instead.

Is your aunt your legal guardian? If not, she won’t be able to sign consent forms. The consent forms HAVE to be signed by a PARENT or legal guardian. It can’t be an older brother/sister or other relative or any other adult… it has to be a parent/legal guardian. That’s the law. In most places, you have to be 18 or older to get any piercing without parental consent. In most places, it’s only legal if your under 18 if you have a parent/legal guardian there with you when you have it done to sign consent forms. They will have to prove they really are your parent and show ID and stuff, so lying won’t work. Some tattoo parlors do piercings too, some are strictly tattoos, but there are actual places that just do piercings too. The pain varies from person to person, but it won’t be anything unbearable so you shouldn’t have anything to worry about there. Get it professionally done and properly care for it and you’ll be fine.
The best thing for you to do would be 1. Talk to your PARENTS (or legal guardian) about it since they will have to be the ones to sign forms. If they don’t agree, you’ll just have to either try reasoning with them or wait until your 18. If they agree, then here’s step 2. Have them call some local piercing/tattoo places and ask about their standards/age limitations then go from there.
Lip Piercing Places
Most of the tattoo parlors do piercings but you would HAVE the be sure that it at least looks clean. Std’s and other diseases can be passed through needels. Yes it is legal for a 13 year old girl to get it pierced but you must have your parrent. And the eyebrow hurt more for me than my lip and the lip piercing healed faster. first of all, most places won’t pierce your lip until you’re 16, even with consent. but those places are probably also the places that will make sure the person giving consent is actually your parent or guardian. so, you’ll have to go to a place that’s not so high-end, but not necessarily “sketchy.” and it will be cheaper. just make sure you take really good care of it, and you should be fine. as for pain, i don’t have my lip pierced, but i’ve heard the initial piercing doesn’t hurt for MOST people, it’s the few days, or week, after that’s slightly uncomfortable.
They will Absolutely do it with parental consent. If your aunt isn’t your legal guardian than I don’t think she can sign for you. And yes, getting your lip huuurts…As does an eyebrow ring. You’re shoving a needle through you, it hurts everywhere you get it. Not being a d**k by saying that, but just trying to prepare you <3

13 year olds don’t understand the risks and responsibilities involved. notice all the 13 yr olds saying ‘there’s nothing wrong with it’? you have no idea. you are not mature enough for this kind of thing. are you mature enough to hear what i have to say. i could go on because as a professional piercer, i deal with you kids all the time. i wouldn’t pierce you. no good piercer would. you are just too young!
i dont think its illegal to get lip or eyebrow pierced at age 13 but you need a parent or guardian to come with you (which you already have) so i dont think youre good
ive heard that it hurts both ways but it really depends on the person, if you can take a lot of pain or used to it then it may not hurt as much.
No piercer worth their salt would pierce a 13-year-old. In most places, you have to be at least 16 to get a piercing. If the piercer is willing to pierce a 13-year-old, he doesn’t sound like a professional.
If your aunt goes with you, any place that does piercings will pierce your lip for you. Both the lip and eyebrow don’t hurt at all. It’s over before you realize it. Lip piercings are a little bit annoying though, mine gets caught in my teeth when I talk or eat anything. I’m debating taking mine out.
No where, unless one of your two parents, or legal guardian, are present. No business will risk losing their licence over piercing some one underage.
