As a crew trainer at a McDonald’s I appreciate your attempt to acquire information without actually learning it. This tactic will not work when a supervisor shows up and asks you these questions.

I hated the all of these quizzes Maccas set in place. I don’t understand why you need homework. Also Red, answering this means that the asker will now have the knowledge to be able to answer if managers ask them this question.

The open door policy means you have to open the door for all customers. Just kidding. It means you can go to your managers about any problems you may have with fellow employee’s.

On a side note, you can alternatively carry out a PAL (or, Personal Action Letter) straight to head office. Usually this is only done if you have a concern about a manger.

Good luck with the rest of your test!

It’s a slippery slope: no matter how much energy you conserve, no matter how environmentally conscious you are, there’s someone else that feels you are wasteful, and someone else that thinks he’s wasteful, etc. Once you start restrictions, you invite tighter and tighter restrictions until the encumbrance becomes excessively negative on society. Instead of legal restrictions, why not use the marketplace? Bad PR is not good for business. Decreased clientele means less sales, and less people to spread the higher overhead costs. Higher prices than competitors who choose to be less wasteful drives customers toward the competition – even if that customer is environmentally oblivious. Businesses will choose to be less wasteful because it’s GOOD business. Environmental causes have a more friendly/less draconian face. Businesses still feel they have market freedom plus now have lower overhead. Customers have lower prices. And bottom line: negative environmental impact is decreased. A win-win-win-win situation… …and that’s the kind of liberty that makes this country great.
