“Om Shanti Om” it is one of the Vedic Mantra which has got religious and philosophical meaning. Om is the symbol of the Hindu ( Vedic Religion). It is believed to be a sound of the whole cosmic manifestation. And Shanti is the “Peace”. It means ‘Om Shanti’ means peace for the all human kind, peace for all living and non living beings, peace for the universe, peace for each and every things in this whole cosmic manifestation. Hindus not only pray for their group or for themselves, they pray for every one and every thing and that is what Vedas teach us to do.

It has got religious & phiosophical meaning attached 2 it. OM is chanting mantra 4r 1 of the indian gods & shanti means Peace, meaning to say ‘All World Rest in Peace” There shd be Peace in this whole world.

i sometimes use om shanti to mean, “I am peace” when i want to communicate that i mean no harm. it is entendre – both a declaration to the other person and a reminder to myself. in doing so, i open the space for meaningful discourse. just saying the words out loud calms my monkey-mind and puts me in a listening-frame of mind. but beware, these are powerful words.

like musician uses the tuning fork to tune there instruments OM sound is the tuning frequency to tune the body and mind to be in unison with its surrounding.you have to find the right note when chanting OM where suddenly you feel peaceful
