Remember in 1999 everyone was worried about the computers switching over to 2000 and they all thought it would be a problem? That was called Y2K, standing for year 2000. Well, the wrestler Chris Jericho basically made a parody, or gimmick of that. It was originally “The Y2J Problem” which was later switched to just “Y2J”, the J of course standing for Jericho.

nuthin really, Y2K was the original name in the year 1999-2000 but he changed in 2 Y2J for jericho

It’s a play on the “Y2K” virus. When Jericho debuted in 1999, they used a millennium countdown to mark his arrival. When the countdown ended in August, Jericho came out and said “you talk about your Y2K problem, well I’m the Y2J problem.” The nickname stuck.

I don’t know about Y2J but Y2K means year two thousands or year 2000

Y2J is the nick name of Chris Jericho (WWF Sports-Entertainer )
Born in New York City (where his father played NHL hockey for the New York Rangers)and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jericho knew at an early age that he wanted to be a pro
wrestler.
Today, Chris Jericho is one of the glitziest, and most charismatic performers in all of wrestling, as well as one of the most cunning and clever and he ranks as one of the most popular competitors in the WWF.

It’s just a play on “Y2K”, which stood for the “Year 2000”.
Jericho originally played on the fact that people were going crazy about the year 2000 coming and anticipating the Modern World possibly going into crisis after the year began. He mainly used it for his debut to show that he was going to be the next big thing in the WWF/E.
