    wan = pale

    wistlessness seems to be a made-up word, combining the ideas of “listless”, and the opposite of “wistful”.

    So the expression is meant to convey a weary, bloodless emptiness of soul.

    I think you might mean wistfulness, and a voice of wan wistfulness would be quiet, sweet and melancholy.
