You are all wrong. When an order has been dispatched it means that it has been picked up from the seller’s location by the delivery company. The order may be in a delivery van but that van is heading to the delivery company’s warehouse where the order is entered onto their system and placed on a shelf in their huge warehouse. It then stays there for several days or weeks depending on how busy the delivery company is, and only then is it put into a van which drives to the delivery address to delivery it to you, only to find that you are (like every one else) at work, in which case it goes back to the warehouse or some other mail sorting office.

It means that your order has been mailed off. The definition of dispatch is: send off to a destination or for a purpose. Your order is currently in the mail system and should be arriving to your destination momentarily!
