If a person says something like “We will respond in the next 24- 48 hours”
Does that mean they would respond anytime from:
A) right now until 48 hours later (response might be within 24 hours)
B) after 24 hours to 48 hours later (no response within the first 24 hours)
Which is it?
if it’s A then why not just say “within 48 hours”?
if it’s A then why not just say “within 48 hours”?

Answer A, they will respond in as little as 24 hours and as late as the next 48, so in the next two days. Hope this helps:)
Answer A)
Could be within 24 hours but definitely within 48 hours
It means that the event could happen within the time frame of 24-48 hours, it is like saying ‘I’ll get back to you’. From your own analysis of question I would choose A.
It means A. They are really promising it within 48 hours, though they think it’s possible they may have it in less than 24 hours.
I’m inclined to say things like that, and it means I think all I need is the shorter deadline, but I’m adding some extra time to be safe.
It means they will contact you within two days. So wait two days starting the time you called and they said that. Don’t over think it! Good luck <3 So A.
I think of that as in the next day or two…
