I had a dream today that I was getting out of my bed and saw an adult black cat on the floor. I was happy to see it, and I picked it up and smiled at it. Then while holding the cat, I saw a black kitten close to the door and the adult one looked at me as if to say “don’t hurt my baby”. I put the cat down slowly and it went close to her kitten to protect it just in case. I made sure i went there slowly and went down on my knees and smiled at the kitten. I think i even said “how are you?” And so the adult cat realized i didnt want to harm her kitten.
Are there any symbols related to black cats and kittens? And if you are a skeptical, please dont post an answer.
Thanks in advance!
Why would you answer a question if you don’t have a good answer? Seems like a waste of time to me.

Job 33 (Amplified Bible) 14For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. 15[One may hear God’s voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, 16Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings], Black
Black symbolizes the unknown, unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, hate or malice.
If the feeling in the dream is one of joy, blackness could imply hidden spirituality and divine qualities. Cat
To see a cat in your dream, symbolizes an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. It also represents misfortune and bad luck. The cat could indicate that someone is being deceitful or treacherous toward you. If the cat is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. The dream may be a metaphor for “cattiness” or someone who is “catty” and malicious. If you see a cat with no tail, then it signifies a loss of independence and lack of autonomy.
To dream that a cat is biting you, symbolizes the devouring female. Perhaps you are taking and taking without giving. You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned.
To dream that you chase the cat away, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles.
To see a white cat in your dream, denotes that you are going through difficult times.
To see a black cat in your dream, indicates that you are experiencing some fear in using your psychic abilities and believing in your intuition. You may erroneously associate the black cat with evil, destruction, and bad luck. Kitten
To see a white kitten in your dream, signifies deceit and trouble.
To see non-white or soiled kittens, indicates trouble ahead for you.
Cats in your dreams symbolize intuition, instinct, aloofness, detached, psychism, sexy, independent, sometimes uncaring, sneaky, proud, curious, sensuous, relaxed, uncooperative, capricious, & playful. They can represent any or all of these qualities as well as that o f” fraidy cat” or “catty.” They may symbolize hidden fears or friendly, loving memories depending on the experience & associations of the dreamer. A Black Cat/ or Black is a color that represents the unknown , mysterious, darkness, death, mourning, hate, or malice, especially when associated with fear or uncertainty. However, if the feeling in the dream is one of joy or happiness, it would probably imply unmanifested spiritual/mental gifts or qualities. The Kitten/Baby Black Cat would be the little catty traits that will grow bigger; may represent your new-born psychic abilities or some other cat trait. The Door the Kitten was standing by may represent an open or shut mind, your freedom to come & go, entrance, exit, escape, opening, accessibility, or opportunity. Always try to note who opens the or closes the door.
Hope this helps you!
The only one that comes to my mind is about a Black Cat crossing your path at night time. Supposed to mean Bad luck for you but W.T.H?
I always wanted to name a cat Maleficent (after the evil fairy from Sleeping Beauty), but I’ve never had a cat that would’ve fit that name. Keeping with the Disney theme, there’s always Cruella, after Cruella de Ville, Ursula, the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid, and Shenzi, one of the hyenas from The Lion King. I also like Diabla 🙂
First of all all all cat’s protect it’s young. that’s a fact. No there are no symbols related to black cats & kittens. My mom has three cats, so don’t think that way. Just be happy that the cat smiled back at you
black cat = bad luck
