It means your going through a temporary stage in your life that will pass
for example im a punk rock type girl and my parents say “its okay your just going through a phase” the translation is ” its okay your just going to be like the temporarily but you will change it up soon your just trying to find yourself” they are wrong but its just for example purposes lol

Yeah, we’re still going through that.. But, i think most kids do that. I mean if you’ve only been talking for a few years how are you going to already know good manners. lol. It takes time, you just have to keep correcting. 😀 Good luck!

a period of time (usually short lived) that describes something typical that happens to a person or something typical a person does
for eg1:
I went through a Robert Ludlum phase when I was 12.
meaning I typically read only Ludlum and nothing else around then.
eg2:
I had this “one night stand phase” somewhere in my early 20s … but I realized it only made me unhappy and that I needed someone steady

its usually means when u do something that u usually wouldnt, meaning at that moment u could have either done something out of your ordinary life or emotions changed which caused you to “have a moment”,.in other words “going through a phase”, im sure it can be explained in a better way lol…might have helped if it wasnt 2 in the morning here…:)
