ditto is another word for same.

    EXAMPLE:

ditto is like a daily activity report but in terms of notes and agendas.. ditto means same according to what it identifies. ditto means same as this or that, physical or an idea…

‘Ditto’ is an agreement with something someone said. For example, if you say that you hate oysters, and your friend says ‘ditto,’ that means ‘me too,; or ‘the same here.’

It derives from the Latin word ‘dictus’, which means ‘said’ or ‘already said’. So it means ‘the same again’.

“the same” .. it became quite slangy there for a while. then others began referring to people who use it as dittoheads … meaning no original thought … an insult

Means ‘said’ as in already said or more usually as stated above.

Saves having to repeat items over and over, which was more important when data was collected manually by people compiling lists in manuscript. Can be represented by ” as well.
