    Your cell phone needs to be activated. Call Verizon from another phone, and get them to activate your handset.

    I don’t know whats going on. I am in central illinois and this happening to everyone in my plan as well. I cant even dial 611 for billing etc. I am not sure who else this is happening to. Where is everyone else? I have tried the reprogramming line. I got through but it didnt correct the problem.

    your phone is roaming. You need to get it reprogrammed, Try dialing *228 then pressing send it will update your cell phones software. If that doesn’t work bring into your nearest verizon store and they can fix.

    just happened to me and some other people i know a couple of hours ago too! Out of the blue,for no reason that i know of.

    *228 didnt work!
