You will be able to use your cell phone and all of it’s features in Niagara Falls. When your in Canada, you will be using a Canadian signal, you won’t be on Verizon, you will be on a Canadian service providers signal that Verizon has a roaming agreement with. The major Canadian service providers are Rogers, Bell, Telus and Fido. You will probably be using a Rogers signal since Rogers has the most coverage and I’m pretty sure that Verizon has a roaming agreement with them.

You will be charged a roaming fee, and that can really expensive so you will want to be careful with how many text messages and calls you make. Verizon’s rate is $0.002 per KB or $2.05 per MB. For roaming in Canada.

Your phone will most likely work, depending on how much service area Verizon covers.

But you will be charged some pricey roaming fees, so call them first and see how much it will cost you to both send & receive msgs.

Also, if your phone works here, then your service provider will change to one of our cell phone companies here, like Rogers, telus, Virgin, or Bell. As we dont have verizon in Canada. This is why you get roaming charges, cause you’re borrowing the service from an outside company.

You’ll be able to text, but it will cost you.

I managed to use my VZW phone on their network, but only when standing by the Falls and when I could get coverage. It’s very dicey the further away you go. By the time you get to Clifton Hill I doubt you’ll get VZW coverage.

Otherwise you end up on a Canadian carrier, and you’ll pay the 69c/min roaming charge. And you’ll be charged international texting rates, which fall outside any text package you may have.

verizon is an american coumpany but you may get a signal over in canada because the american border is just across the falls. call your service provider and se what they can do for you

maybe depends where you are in the city but verizon can carry over on a canadian signal, you will probably pay roaming fees if you cant get your home tower.
