  Dell has tested Inspiron N4030 with the Intel Core 2 Duo, Celeron, Core i3 processors.

  Your computer is shipped with Mobile Intel HM57 Express Chipset. For more information on this, you may refer to link: http://intel.ly/VxT6lD

  Click on the compatible products to get the list of processors compatible with your computer. Before you upgrade processor, please ensure to update system BIOS.

  Processor is not a customer replaceable unit. If you are comfortable and want to replace on your own, you may refer to the service manual of computer:

  Theoretically you can use any of the first generation Core i series. THEORETICALLY, that is.
