toasting with intertwined arms…. whats the meaning?

  Just a wild guess. I am thinking that it has to do with showing unity (ie. tying the knot) Don’t know if this is the true reason, but it makes sense to me. As for who initiates the act, I don’t think it matters as long as both people are willing to show their unity.
