Depends on where you board and what sort of facilities are provided. Board does not typically reflect the size of your horse, unless you are on self board where you buy your own hay etc. I know for full board it is in the neighbourhood of $700 for full board with an indoor in Vancouver. There are not a lot of options, some barns at Southlands or North Vancouver Equestrian Centre.

Richmond will have a lot more selection with varied types of facilities.

    Good luck 🙂

If you’re not looking at Langley, Ladner, CVP, etc, then an average, run of the mill full boarding place would be around $600-700. That would be with decent facilities and an indoor. Self or semi would run you about $400-550.

Some shoddy barns with falling apart fencing, no decent pasture, no stables and a crappy outdoor with no indoor arena may average $400.

If you want a really good stable, maybe $800. Those are HIGH end places.

Or look on Craigslist for private barns. Most of them are in the tricities and Fraser Valley areas, but there are some Vancouver/Richmond private barns offering boarding.

For a start the legal minimum that your pony can be allowed to live in is 2 acres per pony.

Second, there is no such an average board. It depends entirely on what facilities you are being offered, and whether it is going to be stabled or entirely field kept, if there are arenas, whether the pony will be fed etc.

You need to ring around and see what is available in your area.

if you want the amenities like a riding ring and a nice stall, you will

pay between 400 and 600$ for full care board there. full care will

most likely include daily stall cleaning, daily feeding of hay/water

and maybe daily feeding of grain.

your pony will still need room even though he is small he is still a

    thing called an ‘animal’
