Suzuki Wagon R, when to change cambelt?

Anyone know when the cambelt should be changed on the 1.3 model Suzuki Wagon R+. It is a 2002 model with 34,000 miles and no service history. There are no manuals available in the UK for this vehicle. Thanks.

Yeah, one big can of elbow grease and the repair manual. There should be a diagram on a sticker under the hood or in the owners manual to show you how to route the belt around the pulleys. And you’ll need a 20″-25″ breaker bar to take the tension off the belt tensioner unless this has a screw type tensioner and there’s more than one belt. Like you have to remove one belt to get to the other. Good Luck!

In the us, most makers suggest after 70000 miles. Call the dealer service department and ask them.

where no information is available…you should adopt the 5 years or 60,000 miles which ever comes first policy….its better to change it NOW and get peace of mind… just in case the mileage is incorrect…cos if it breaks in service it “MAY” cause expensive engine damage……..
