Does this phrase have any meaning in the Slavic area (particularly Ukraine)?

Start wearing purple is a reference to when people start growing old and crazy, they tend to start wearing purple because the color purple is a very sain color for them. Something about purple comforts their minds.
Therefore, Start wearing purple has much meaning – not pointless at all.

The lyrics reflect the bands namesake author Nikolai Gogol and Gogol’s Absurdist writing style. The Absurdists loved to write stories that illuminated the futility of life- the lyrics reflect this idea as a twisted love song. As traditional love songs say things like “I love you, I’ll grow old with you” this says that in the second verse, but included is the idea that you may as well start wearing purple now (the color of matriarchs), not just because you can be rest assured that I will accompany you as we grow old, but because you will inevitably lose your mind, it doesnt matter how much we imbibe in intellectual pursuits (foucault, etc etc).

1. I would say a good age to start is around 14 or their freshman year of high school. 2. Hmmm….too young…I’d say anywhere before 13 is too early. There’s really not a whole lot to cover up before then (pimples etc.) Honestly, I remember when i was in middle school, girls would wear WAY too much eyeliner. Only apply to the top lid. promise, you’ll look like you know what you’re doing. 3. When I first started I just tried a little blush and some mascara. After a while I played around with some neutral eyeliners and sheer gloss. Keep it simple. Don’t cake on the foundation if you choose to do that as well. It’s a fine art, and many young people don’t know that it’s all about application. (not by how much you’re wearing) Good luck 🙂

I believe that around 13 is an ok age. Maybe below 12 would be a little early. I think just some basic light eye shadow, mascara, and a cute lip gloss is good.
