Please help with Dolphin Emulator !!?

Hello everybody.

I have a really big problem with the Dolphin Emulator. So i already downloaded the game and extracted it using 7zip.

Now when i click the game on the emulator , just a black screen appears , and after that the error message : “GPU:OGL ERROR: Does your video card support OpenGL 2.0 ?”

Then , another warning : “GPU:ERROR:Need GL_ARB_framebuffer_object for multiple render targets.”

“GPU:Does your video card support OpenGL 3.0”

This is driving me insane. I already looked up like dozens of help videos , but nothing could help my problem. Help would be greatly appreciated !

thanks in advance 😀

Update:

Thanks filenotfound , and i thought people were magical fairies. My whole life was a lie.

Here are the pictures when the error appears :

(Don’t worry , the links are all safe)

I already tried the Dolphin version 3.0 and 3.5. None of them works though.

As for the specs , here : http://postimg.org/image/bkyvvdnoj/

helping us help you would be greatly appreciated :/

Please post screen shots of the problem when it happens, aswell as your system specs (cpu, ram, graphics, operating system), and which version of dolphin you are using.

People arnt magic fairies who can read your mind… problems with complex devices such as computers/etc running complex operating systems running complex emulation software are impossible to fix without knowing more information about them, as the problem can be one of millions.

    EDIT:

    OK ummm

    1) dolphin is on 4.0.2 http://dolphin-emu.org/ (but 3.5/3.0 are much faster, tho more inaccurate and have more bugs and more audio issues)

    2) your cpu is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR below the minimum requirements to get “playable” speeds :/

The minimum cpu requirements is a 2.4ghz+ core i3-2xxx or better for playable speeds, and 3.0ghz+ core i3/i5-2xxx pt better for full speed in most all gamecube games.

(wii games are FAR more demanding)

    3) your ram is very low and will be almost 100% used with your os, back ground processes and dolphyin (as dolphin itself can/will use up to 600MB of ram)

    4) judging from the specs of your cpu/ram, you either have super ancient integrated graphics or a super ancient graphics card. Either way, its below the minimum requirements for dolphin.

the solution to all your problems is: buy a new computer.

For emulation intel cpus destroy amd cpus due to the amd cpus have terrible IPC performance which is very important in emulation performance. (amd cpus are easily enough for pc gaming tho).

Id suggest getting a 3.0ghz+ i3/i5 if you want to play gamecube at full speed. Graphics card doesnt matter too much on newer systems. i mean the intel HD3000 on the 2nd gen core i intel series are enough for native resolution. Ofcourse if you want to raise the resolutions on it, you will need more graphic power.

If you want wii, you need an i5-4670K and need to overclock it. You also need a real wiimote with a real wii motion plus attachment for many games.

So its far more cost effective to just buy a used wii for like $40 lol

If you don’t closely follow the emulation scene, you may wonder why Nintendo hasn’t shut down the Dolphin project. The code of the emulator itself is completely legal. It’s written by programmers like Fiora, and none of that code belongs to Nintendo. For its most accurate audio emulation, Dolphin does require a DSP (digital signal processor) dumped from a Wii; downloading that is illegal, but dumping it from your own modded Wii is perfectly legal. Ripping your own Wii/GameCube discs is legal, but downloading them is definitely not. That’s piracy. Don’t do it.
