Physics Work Problem! 10 POINTS!?

A student slides her 80.0 kg desk across the floor a distance of 4.0 m at constant speed. If the coefficient of kinetic friction between the desk and the floor is 0.400, how much work did she do?

The answer is 1.26 kJ, but how do you get there? Thanks SO much!

    Girl pushes with a force F.

    F = umg where u is coefficient of dynamic friction.

    F = 0.4 x 80 x 9.81 = 313.92 N

    Work = force x distance

    = 313.92 x 4 = 1256 J

    = 1.26 kJ
