my recipe calls for 2 lbs of red potatoes?

does anyone know about exactly how many potatoes that actually is?

    Red potatoes are generally smaller then an Idaho potato. If baby reds you need about 15 is larger probably on about 8.

    Those are small potatoes so I would figure out 1/2 the bag and subtract 2-3 Potatoes from those.

    About four. The average Idaho potato weighs about 3/4 of a pound in the loose sale. In a bag, it’s about 1/2 a pound.

    take a five pound bag of red potatoes, divide them into 5 equal piles. use two of those piles.
