does anyone know about exactly how many potatoes that actually is?
recipe calls 2 lbs red potatoes
How many Red Potatoes #2 in a 50# bag?
6 medium potatoes is probably 2 to 2 1/2 lbs.
Google says 2 pounds of potatoes equals about 7 cups chopped
Ingredients 4 medium sweet potatoes 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup) 1 can (15 ounces) black beans with cumin and chili spices, undrained 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) Mexican-style stewed tomatoes, undrained 1/4 cup sour cream 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Those are small potatoes so I would figure out 1/2 the bag and subtract 2-3 Potatoes from those.
About four. The average Idaho potato weighs about 3/4 of a pound in the loose sale. In a bag, it’s about 1/2 a pound.
take a five pound bag of red potatoes, divide them into 5 equal piles. use two of those piles.
depends on sizes of potatoes. i use four to five medium size.
