Hi! I was wondering if I bought a female maltese and waited about 2 1/2 years and did NOT spay her and she mated with a 20lb mini golden doodle (yes there is such thing as a mini goldendoodle; small poodle and reg. golden retriever) what would the puppy’s look like? would it hurt the maltese to give birth? weight? etc.
thanks
@Just Bells.
There IS such thing as a Mini Golden doodle. Golden Retriever and a mini poodle…

Puppies and mom will likely be just fine. Fortunately biology limits the size of the pups when in utero to the size of the mom. This is the just same as in humans, where an 85 pound fashion model mom can have a baby with her 300 pound linebacker husband with no problems!
Mutts are generally healthier and live longer than their purebred counterparts. Make sure mom is health checked throughout her pregnancy, so the vet can keep and eye on her, but chances are that everything will be fine. Good luck!
If you mated a female Maltese to a 20lb mutt with a 60lb parent the Maltese would probably die.
Not Maltese breeder would mate a female to a larger male of the same breed let alone a mixed breed.
Mini Goldendoodle is a made up name for a mix. It is not a breed and there is no good reason to produce this mix except to sell to the gullible.
@Just bells, I guess you’re one of those pure bred snobs? Sad. There is nothing wrong with mixed breeds, stick to the question next time.
& The puppies can either look like the maltese or the golden retriever poodle mix. Hard to say, you just gotta wait.
no there is no such thing as a “doodle” anything…all of them are badly bred MUTTS
The puppies will look like MUTTS…and it would probably kill your *****
you’re a moron, btw
