I want to go to a taping of Jay Leno this friday. I just printed out tickets from tvtix.com. I was wondering if this site is legit enough? Does it guarantee a seating for me in the studio?
Okay, I’m planning to get there exactly at 3 on Friday. The Jonas Brothers are going to be there, and will be performing. So should I come way earlier? Since they’re performing, do they have a separate area where performers play a song? I was wondering if that would increase my chances of getting in.

I have gotten tickets thru them before. It is legit. I have also gone to the Jay Leno taping. The studio is small. All seats are good, but only very few will get to take pics with Jay and they are usually in the front rows.
People start lining up to get into the show taping early. It is first come first serve on seating. If you want to be up front get there a couple (sometimes a few) hours ahead of time.
The band plays inside the studio and the stage is to the left, if you are looking at the set.
Another show you might want to consider is the Jimmy Kimmel show.
They have a whole stage set up for their bands and they tend to play several songs even after the cameras stop rolling. It is like a free mini concert. It is pretty easy to get tickets to that but you still would have to get there a little earlier if you want to be up front.

It’s legit, but I believe it says right on the ticket that it doesn’t guarantee seating. It should say something to the effect that a ticket doesn’t guarantee a seat, and that they distribute more tickets than the capacity of the studio. My advice is to show up earlier than the time it says on the ticket.
The ticket only allows you basically to stand in line to get in, and differentiates you from walk-ups. It gives the studio an idea of how many people to expect.
Good luck!
