Is there a way to convert a basket coffee maker to use a cone filter?

  Yes, it is possible. Take the cone and open it up. Then flatten out the bottom. Then you can place coffee in it. You should be about to make 6 cups with out the grounds spilling out.

  Sorry, no…the other way around is plausible….but forcing a cone into a basket shaped area is problematic…
