Is 1T the same thing as 12 months in children’s clothing?

In children’s clothing, is the size “1T” the same thing as “12 months”? Also, is there such a thing as a “9-12 months” size or does it go directly to “12 months” or “1T”?

I always assumed that 1T was the same as 12 months, although you rarely see any 1T sizes in stores around here where I live. And the 9-12 month size depends entirely on the manufacture. Gerber, for instance, goes right from 6-9 months to 12 months, while some brands do have a 9-12 month label. I think that for the most part, 9-12months, 12months, and 1T are all the same.

Edit: Brian, from what I have seen, there is no 12-24 month size. After 12months comes 18months, then 24months. And I can say with some certainty that 24months is the same as 2T because that’s what my neighbor’s daughter wears, so it would only make sense that 1T is the same as 12months.

I’ve never seen a 1T size anything before…. I guess we just don’t have that size around here lol

But I would imagine they are the same as 12 month size since 2T and 24 month size are the same.

And where I’m from, yes there is Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, and yes, 9-12 month size.

I’ve never seen a 1T before but I do know that 24 months and 2T are the same except in length. 24 months for a baby who is not quite as tall as a toddler but has the same waist size.

Sizes go up to 24 months for babies then start at 2T- 5T for toddlers in my local stores.
