Yeah, definitely realized this after I made it and ate some. It didn’t have bugs or anything [that i noticed]. The box said “best before” not “expires” but I still feel like it’s going to be bad for me to have eaten. Has anyone eaten old Rice A Roni before? :[

I’ve done that before with boxed rice and had no ill effects. Thinking it’s bad may even bring it about so pretend it’s the best rice a roni you ever ate and do things normally, putting it out of your mind. You’ll know soon enough if it’s bad as It will come out one end, or the other and then you should feel better.
I think legally they put that expriation date on there but whatever preservatives they use, it would probably survive a nuclear fallout. We’d all be dead but cockroaches and Rice A Roni lives on.
Probably not. The one thing you have to look out for with Rice a Roni is BUGS !! The product is not enclosed in plastic, just a cardboard box (a really DUMB idea), and I ve found bugs crawling around in boxes that were past their Use By date, and even some that were well within the Use By date. I really like the stuff, but it really annoys me that the manufacturer doesn t take even minor precautions (sealed plastic) to prevent bug infestation.
Watch the mix carefully for little critters, before you waste half a stick of butter added to it.

Shelby, I doubt that you’ll get sick. Foods like rice-a-roni and other pre-packaged food are made to last years. What my concern is that those types of foods are not good for you anyway. Loaded with tons of sodium which causes high blood pressure.
Well I haven’t ate Rice A Roni but I drank a five year expiration milk. It was gross and smelled gross too. I drank it all the way. I had a small stomachace. But I took pills for stomachaces and then after few minutes I felt better. Try that then tell if it works.
The sideffect will counteract on the quantity of hygene proposteride that replaced into interior the old ranch sauce. See if the ranch dressing you ate had xanthum gum in it. ( if the xanthum gum sits for over a year it starts off to lett out acids that replace into mildew no longer waiting to be considered by utilising the human eye) the acids initiate counter performing with the fluids on your stomache and could reason you to have diarea. If it had disodium inosiate and xanthum gum in it, them sitting for over a year mutually creates a toxic fluid and could reason you to cyclobenzaperine. IN different words- you will DIE i’m very sorry, bypass see a physician. i replaced into merely kidding, is it available?
You’ll be OK. The product is filled with preservatives and unless mealy worms constituted the “protein” portion of the package then it is fine. Drink some water while you look at all the products in your cupboard for expiration dates.
No you’ll be fine.
A bloke I used to work with used powdered milk in his tea that had a best before date in 1975 – this was in 2003.
Apparantly it tested the same as the new bottle he thought he was using!
You’ll be fine. As long as it had no bacteria or anything like that. I ate something that expired in 2000. Best before just means “DON’T BLAME US IF IT TASTES BAD AFTER THE DATE WE PUT” You’ll be fine I promise. Like milk wouldn’t hurt you if it was expired it would just taste GROSSS!
