  Yes. It would be the same. In nordic countries j is often pronounced as I.

  The same goes for Katja pronounced kat-i-a. I had a Swedish friend whose name was Maja, and her name was pronounced Ma-i-ya, the i being like “aie!” in Scottish.

  Possibly and you could pronounce it that way if you wanted but just looking at it people would think that is would be pronounced MY – A
