It depends on the type of glue in the fly trap. Might try calling the manufacturer of the fly trap and asking. Goo gone might work; but, it is not going to be good for your hair. A short enough crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut or butch would definitely resolve this issue or if the glue is on the sides or back of the head, a close enough taper to remove the hair with glue.

Most effective way would be to shave the affected area down to the scalp, and scrub with a good cleaner.
Your hair will grow back quickly anyway, and you wont have to worry about any chemical residue(if any) from the glue.

I just tried the olive oil and left it in for 20 mins. Then washed and conditioned as usual. Worked great! So happy because I have long hair and really didn’t want to shave my head!

I used coconut oil to get the stickies out, but my newly colored hair is stringy and not like the other side. I thought about cut that sprig off, but I seem to be winning the battle.
