how many cups of ground turkey is a pound?
1 Lb Ground Turkey
1 pound of ground meat = 2 1/2 cups browned ground meat.
I’d either make turkey chili, or the following: My Southwest Chili Turkey Burgers (I use pure ancho chili powder, but regular chili powder blend, or if you like spicier, some cayenne would work well as well — season it the way you like). 1 lb. ground turkey 1 egg 1/2 to 3/4 cup drained, canned black beans (or canned pinto beans) salt and pepper to taste chili powder to taste cornmeal olive oil for browning Mix the turkey with the egg, beans, and seasonings. Add in enough cornmeal so you can make it into patties that will hold together. Shape into patties and dredge in additional cornmeal. On medium heat in a large skillet, brown the patties on one side until nice and crispy and browned. Turn and brown on the other side. Serve any way you like, with any sauce you like. BTW, a real nice side with this is cutting up chunks of sweet potatoes, coating them lightly with some light olive oil, mixing some ancho chili powder (or your favorite kind of chili powder) with some honey and drizzing that over the sweet potatoes and baking them until browned and starting to caramelize. You can add a little more of the drizzle before serving. It’s even good on the burgers, which you can have plain or wrapped in tortillas with your favorite toppings.
One cup is 8 ounces, so there are two cups in a pound.
