How long past expiry can I use a pillsbury refrigerated pie crust?

It expired on March 16. Is it still safe if I use it today (March 21)?

Expiration dates represent the last day it is sure to be good, not the first day it is likely to be bad. If it seems okay, then it’s fine to use.

I would use it. I am sure it is fine.

If you want to be sure go to http:www.pillsbury.com and ask.

I am sure that they will tell you that for maximum freshness it is best that the product be used within the time given on the package. They may also tell you that since they have no idea how the product was stored they can offer no guarantees.

If the product was refrigerated properly and maintained in the proper temperature zone I am sure it is fine.

It looks ok, can I use crust 6 mos later? It was stored in the coldest part of fridge. Most likely was close to freezing.

It will be fine. You’re only talking about 5 days. I’d use – no problem at all.

Yes of course it will be ok if unopened, it will last several weeks.

You will be able to tell when you open the packet.

It should be fine, but use your nose it should smell like raw dough only and remember, “When in doubt throw it out”.
