I am a competitive swimmer. I have a TYR aquapel fast suit. TYR is a swim brand. I don’t know how to pronounce it though! Do you say T-Y-R like the letters T Y and R, or is it like tear (crying) or tear (rip) or tire (car) or something completely different??

Tyr Brand
when you order something from TYR on the box or tag it explains that TYR is not an acronym. it is pronounced tear (crying). apparently the company was named after the norse god of war, or something like that.
Like others said it pronounced tear (crying), and is named after the norse god Tyr, who is the god of of warriors.
I say T-Y-R, as does everyone on my team.
However, I looked it up and got this: “Tyr (pronounced tier) [is] from Norse mythology”, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyr_Sports,_Inc..
I continuously concept it became pronounced “tear”. i assume some human beings might desire to declare “tire”… i’m extra attentive to greek mythology so i can not supply an opinion on him except i circulate seem it up…
It isn’t ‘Tear’. My swimming squad is sponsered with it. It is pronounced T-Y-R.
Tear.We use them in Australia too!
