This is what I’ve tried, using the clock button only changes the time not the day. And if I use the schedule button, it is only for programming the kick-on and kick-off days for the thermostat. It isn’t for change the day for the actual present date.

You have to get into the installer set up parameters to set the calender. This should normally only have to be done once when originally installed as this thermostat will normally keep the date for 10 years. To do this you have to set installer set up parameters 120,130,140 and 150. Here is how:
1) press and hold the center button for 5 seconds it should read 0120 in smaller numbers. The larger number is the parameter you set using up or down arrow keys.
2) Use up or down arrows to set parameter 120 to the first two digits in the year then press Next.
3) Use up or down arrows to set parameter 130 to the last two digits in the year then press Next.
4) Use up or down arrows to set parameter 140 to the current month then press Next.
5) Use up or down arrows to set parameter 150 to the current day of the month then press Done.
That is it, you now should see the current day of the week in the display. Here is a link to the manual for your thermostat if you would like more detailed instructions. You might want to make sure the other parameters are set right since it appears the date was never set up properly.

Simple way to find the answer yourself !. Well done. Was going to suggest to google the Model No and Make and usually you can download an Instruction Manual from their site.
Make sure to press and release the left button first! Then follow the other steps outlined.
Thanks Mike! Your instructions were spot on & our thermostat nw reads the correct date!
