Hey guys I received an email which stated the following:
Thank you for taking part in our recent interview. I am pleased to tell you that we will now be considering your application further. Within 2 weeks you will hear from us to let you know either that we have successfully matched you into a position, or that we plan to place your application on hold as we cannot match you. If we place you on hold and a suitable vacancy comes up within the next three months we will get back in contact with you. In the meantime, if you review your status on the system, it will state that your application is on hold following group interview.
Thank you again for your patience. I look forward to contacting you again very soon.
Anyone know if this means I’ve likely got the job or not?
It is a generic email they send to everyone, if they want you they will send you for the group interview with around 20 other applicants and it is to find out how you work within a group and at then end of the interview they call out names and those that are called go to another room are the ones that got the job and those that are left are told sorry you have not been successful – you say you have had a recent interview so why did they not tell you then? Good Luck
It means at least that they haven’t gone “Oh hell no, no way”. So you’ve got that going for you at least! But other than that, it’s just a copy-and-paste letter they send out to everyone they don’t reject straight away, so it doesn’t indicate anything specific to whether they like you or not, I’m afraid.
If you cannot figure out what that means then you are not bright enough to get a position at Waitrose. It is very self explanatory.
