Has anyone ever experience constipation from split pea soup?

I love this soup but seem not to go for days after eating it, when usually i go every day…

Does this mean i shouldnt be eating it?

Spit Pea soup is good for you; but, in excess it can be binding. Increase your fluid intake even more and perhaps take a stool softener to help keep it soft. Or you could listen to someone else, increase your fiber intake and create a dam of fibrous bulk. In moderation fiber is good; but, too much is decidedly more than sufficient.

Dried peas have a lot of fiber in them. When you eat fiber but don’t get enough water with it…your intestines absorb too much liquid and prevents movement. Try eating just 1 serving (1 cup) and drinking lots of water…if gss is also a problem try adding a little rice to the meal. The 2 have “complimentary” carbohydrate production and tend to reduce gas.

No, it sounds too weird and wonderful for my flavor. often i admire weird and wonderful, yet all i will image is somebody sitting around splitting peas in 2 and then serving them in a thick pea like broth! Lol, i know that’s no longer what this is, yet this is all i will ever think of roughly. 🙂

Maybe you should limit how much, and/or make sure you add fiber to your diet the day you eat it.
