My parents received a catalog with some T-shirts in it reading:

I graduated from that school, and so my parents sent the catalog to me, and they got a kick out of it.
I didn’t; I wasn’t offended, but I don’t see the point. If you didn’t go to Harvard…who cares? People have all sorts of talents, and not going to Harvard does not reflect anything on someone; for all I know, someone who didn’t go to Harvard is likely a lot smarter than I am.
I passed along the catalog to a classmate, who thought that the clothing was rude and offensive.
So…what’s the point of these clothes? Why would anyone denigrate himself/herself by wearing them? Are they meant to be rude to us Harvard grads?

The Old testament should be viewed through the lens of love. If you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, you will take care of your body the best you know how. for that God has given dietary regulations conceding how to take care of your body. God shows us love for Him and others in the 10 Commandments. The first four commandments are about love for God, and the last six are about love for our fellow neighbor. If you are having trouble with the language of the bible, just try reading it in a NKJV or KJV and keep a dictionary and concordance handy. Pray before you read and ask God if He wants to show you something in particular. God told them not to mix fabric because it was symbolic representing them understanding what has life and what does NOT have life. to better appreciate the value of the things which are alive. i.e. cotton vs. wool. I have to admit there are some sections of the O.T. that are really hard to understand, but the more I think about Jesus while I read it, the easier it becomes. Remind yourself of this one thing. The Old testament is all about Jesus Christ.

Many conservatives are too easily amused. President Obama attended Harvard’s law school. I’m sure you can figure out the rest.. 🙂
