Halloween bag-snatch game!?

Okay so for halloween all of these guys who I am friends with want to go bag-snatching and I think that it is wrong as do all of my other friends that are girls. So I had the idea that we could follow them around and after they snatch a bag we could like run up from behind them and steal the bags they stole and then go and return it to the kid who it belongs to as a joke on my friends and to help the little kids. =]] What do you think of this idea and how could we make this plan better?

Bag snatching is theft and is punishable by up to 5 years in prison! (I just asked my dad, he’s a police officer). Let your friends know this and also tell them that there are always plenty of extra officers out there on Halloween night too.

Find an officer and point out these guys to them, tell the officer what they plan to do. I’m sure the officer will give them a good talking to and will likely watch them.

When I was a little kid someone once snatched my bag of halloween candy. I was very upset. The following halloween I followed all the bigger kids around and cut holes in the bottoms of their halloween bags while they werent paying attention. After that, its all about picking up the candy trail. Was I justified in my actions? Probably not. But it is very possible that if your friends do this karma will knock on their door one day.

Don’t hang out with them, once the police or volunteer police catch wind of such events, all those around are likely to be included or seen as snatcher.

Try and offer an alternative event but what is fun about this, some big kid steals candy from little kids. I hope you come up with a creative solution.

You’re right. Bag snatching is wrong. Why would your friends want to do something so mean to little kids? Maybe you need some new friends.

I completely agree with you, all those poor kids walk so long to collect their candy, just for some bigger bullies to come and take it from them.

But my biggest concern might be for your friends. We always take our kids along with a couple of other families around to Trick’or’Treat. And if we saw any older kids trying to take ours, or any other kids candy. I think the moms would probably have to restrain our husbands.

Not at all to say our husbands are violent, but they would defiantly make sure those boys learned.

I do want to commend you for wanting to stand up to your friends, but may want to be careful. For if there were to get caught, you may be mistaken for one of the thief’s as well.

So use your best judgment and good luck, have a safe Halloween.
