We have a video in Spanish that we have to watch and take notes on, and I have been slacking off and doing other homework in that class. We are going to have a test soon, maybe this week, since we just finished watching all ten episodes. I have watched the videos every now and then, but some videos I had no idea what happened. Can I get an overview of what happened over the course of the whole story, and who each character in the story is? Sources would be nice, since whenever I search Eres tu Maria I get some video of a Spanish project playing the parts of the video.
If you don’t know what video I’m talking about, Its some mystery with a detective names Lola Lago, who tries to find out who stole Dona Gracia’s jewels (I think).

The old lady (who can’t see well) takes in her estranged niece (Julia who is pretending to be Maria) after she is in a car accident. Julia wanted to live with the aunt because she heard (from the guy who works in the hospital) that she was really old and rich, and if she died, she’d inherit all the money and riches. Maria actually died in the car accident, not Julia, allowing her to steal her identity.
The robber is/was either Julia or Luis Antonio, I believe Julia(who posed as Maria, but Maria died). Julia was saying Luis made her do it. If you go back to episode 1 the 2 ppl outside the plaza are both of them.

Well, here goes. The old lady (who can’t see well) takes in her estranged niece (Julia who is pretending to be Maria) after she is in a car accident. Okay, so this question was asked really long ago, but nobody explained it properly.
So, doña Lupe is found nearly dead in her apartment by doña Elvira, whom brings her the newspaper every morning, and Lola tries to find out what exactly happened. Mariá, doña Lupe s granddaughter, is also missing, along with doña Lupe s jewels. Nestór, doña Lupe s grandson, helps Lola to find Mariá. They go to Mariá s apartment and they find a letter of a guy named Jenaro, directed to a Jacinta, and Lola thinks there s something more to this, so they try to find Jacinta. They find out that she died in the car accident of a year ago which involved Mariá, so they go to her old apartment and find out that Jacinta was an actress. Eventually, Lola sees Mariá at the building and she goes to her, asking her if she is Mariá and Mariá freaks out, asking her why she wants to know. She pulls a gun at Lola and says that if Lola follows her, she ll kill her. A day later, Lola, Paco and Miguel go look for Mariá and they find her and take her back. Lola tells the police inspector Gil that Mariá was actually Jacinta, and Jacinta yells that it wasn t her, but Jenaro who wanted her to do it. They then find out that in the car accident a year ago, Mariá was the one who died, not Jacinta. Jenaro, who s dad worked for the Requena family (which consisted of doña Lupe, Mariá and Nestór), knew that doña Lupe was very rich so he made up a plan and told Jacinta to take over Mariá s identity, since doña Lupe was almost blind and Jacinta looked like Mariá. Jenaro was also Jacinta s boyfriend. Jenaro thought it was taking too long for doña Lupe to die, so he stole her jewels and took off. At the end, Jenaro get s caught with the jewels and some money, and Nestór goes to visit doña Lupe who asks him, “Eres tú, Mariá?” which explains the title because she couldn t see well and she thought Nestór was Mariá. Nestór then explains to her what happened and he goes to live with her to take care of her, which makes Lola and Nestór neighbours.
