i am almost positive it starts at 12:00 because it’s 12:00 AM
but my friend keeps insisting that it’s 12:01.
Here you go:
From 12:00:00 AM to 12:00:00 AM = 24 HOURS. 12:01:00 is incorrect. Its like saying 24 hours minus 1 minute. 12:01:00 AM to 12:01:00 AM is not how you would start counting logically. And if you notice, things like your computer or cell phone will always register the new day right at 12:00:00 AM.
Think of 12:00:00 AM as a book marker between the days. Not one second has passed at that point. Its the sweet middle. But it still is the new day. 12:01:00 would be 60 seconds into the new day… Just tell your friend he s a minute late…
The number 12 has no business being at the beginning of a new day or at the end of a day for that matter. 11:59:59 pm is nearly the end of the day. where is the number 12 tell it reaches the end of The the last seconds of any day has no number 12 but will very briefly register.12:00 at the very end. That is 12 complet hours after high noon 12pm 12 complete hours earlier. The number 12 is also no longer needed at the beginning of a new day. Where is the number 12 when 00:00:01 is the time recorded the 1st second into a new day? It look really weird to me to see digital clocks reading 12:01 am and the name of the day changes. 45 minutes later into the new day the clock reads 12:45 This system is like someone asking me to give them 47 cents and I say : Here s your .47 cents . Spend it wisely. I don t say, Here s 47% of $1.00 or I don t say Here s 47 cent of a one dollar. That was to cheep. Thanks
Consider the 24 hour clock. The day ends at 24.00.00. The next day starts at 00 00 01.
Yes, the new day starts at 12:00, just like you said. Your friend is WRONG.
12 because the morning is considered from 12 AM to 11:59 AM and 12 PM to 11:59 PM is night.
A New Day Begins
Next day starts at 00:00.0
12:00 exactly. Things just come out t 12:01.
12:00 – – just think of New Year’s Eve — the ball drops at midnight and it’s the new year!
