Pine-Sol kills germs around the house if you use it to clean the house by following the instructions on the bottle. Anyone telling you to heat any chemical has probably inhaled a little too much of something at some point in their life. That is not only dangerous to your respiratory system, it is a fire hazard.
Step away from the stove and pick up the bucket and sponge and the bottle of Pine-Sol and get busy.
As for your love of the smell, cleaning your home with it will spread the smell through out your house. And if you keep an eye out each year at the after Christmas sales, you will find tons of pine scented candles and air fresheners to stock up on for the coming year.
Remember that the instructions on the labels are there for a reason. They have tested these products and know the safe ways to use them. Then they tell us what ways are safe. As long as you use cleaning products according to label directions you will be safe.
Another important reminder: Never mix chemicals. Cleaning Products contain chemicals. The resulting fumes could kill you. And not over a long period of time. They could cause you to drop like a fly.

Does boiling Pine-sol on the stove harm you?
I have heard this will kill germs around the house and I have been doing it because I also love the smell of Pine-sol, but I didn't think about the health factors, if any.
I seem to remember a warning on the label about inhaling concentrated fumes. I know it can give you a serious buzz if you use it in an enclosed space. The scent of boiling Pine-Sol alone will not kill germs and I don’t think it’s a good idea to fill the house with Pine-Sol fumes. There are lots of pine-scented sprays and candles around if you like the smell.
I found the best way to get the Pine Sol smell though out your home with out adding a flame to it is to fill your sink with warm water and add pine sol. Just let it sit in the water in your sink and the smell will spread through out your home. I usually do this when I open up windows to allow fresh air in as well! Everyone always loved how my house smells! Hope this helps
My grandma used to use alot of cleaning chemicals frequently and it screwed up her whole respiratory system.
She sounded like an old ’87 Ford motor when she breathed.
It was so bad the hospital wanted to perform a trichaeotomy or however it’s spelled. That is where they cut your throat open.
So I don’t suggest boiling it on your stove often.
I would just put some in a water to make a mopping mixture.
dear woods,
I do not know why this would kill germs and if you like the smell, simply clean everything with it. Be very careful of strong scents, they often begin to irritate delicate air passages.
……enjoy.
