Hiya. My dad was just cracking an egg and said “Did you know egg shells can give you warts?” I said “No they can’t…” and he said “I’m sure I’ve heard somewhere that they can.”
So I’m just wondering, Can eggshells give you warts?
If so, how and why
and if not, why?
Thank you =) We are both interested to know. =) (after he washed his hands vigorously ha ha =P)

No, I’ve never heard of that and I’ve never had any problems handling eggs. I eat them almost every day and I’ve never gotten a wart from them.

no
warts are caused by a human born virus, so egg shells, unless somehow contaminated by someone with warts, can’t cause warts

The version I heard was that it was the water that eggs had been boiled in that gave you warts! Both of them “old wives tales”.

Only if you cut them into little pieces and stick them on your skin.
I think I’ll market this idea as Fashion Warts.
