Most grocery shops in the UK sell the Kraft Cheez spread in a jar, all Velvetta is is the same basic cheese product with added emulsifiers and butter oil, it does not need to be refrigerated until opened.

Even the West Indian stores have a soft cheese in a tin, used for a sauce on boiled cassava, ASDA, Tesco and Sainsburys will have the Kraft brand, other wise a basic cheese sauce made with good British cheddar is another alternative.

As far as color and taste, go american cheese.

otherwise, any other processed cheese will work (because they’re easy-melt)

any style of easy-melt yellow cheese would do.
