It’s not unusual, I’ve seen that color bird poop before, it’s something the bird ate, any bird can have purple bird poop. The only reason it might be a specific bird is bc a specific bird might be eating food that causes purple poop to come out, some sort of berries maybe…?
If you are in the UK it is probably the wild birds that have been eating berries such as elder or blackberries.
Starlings are the favourite for this but it could be any thrush type such as blackbird.
Check out the local trees and bushes if you really want to trace what it is.
The best advice is to wash it off as soon as possible as it is rather acidic and can damage the paintwork on your car.
At this time of year near my house the wild grapes are starting to ferment, as they get older. Some birds have been known to fly into windows a bit more often come the fall while they fill up on them. Wild raspberries and blueberries as well are in abundant supply.
Most types of local birds here try them from time to time.
Birds do not have a digestive system like people. So you birds probably ate something purple
It would depend on the size of the poop to give an accurate answer. I would hazard a guess at a berry eating pigeon.
it depends on where you live and what kind of food is available to the birds in your area as to what color the poop is and what kind of bird is based on the gegraphic location
its too early in the season for the berries to be on the trees let alone be purple yet. Must be something else turning the poop purple. purple pollen or brightly colored insect wings perhaps.
