First you start off by asking the question, “Do you wanna play a game?” At the same time you hold up one finger. When they say, “Yes,” you continue by saying, “This is one, this is two, this is three, this is four, this is five.” All the while increasing the number of fingers with each number until you get to five, then you hold up just one finger again. You then ask, “What number is this?”, while holding up some combination of fingers. Does anyone know how to beat this mind game. I think this is something you would have had to seen played before in order to know. My roommates tried this on me at dinner and it’s killing me that he is failing all of his classes, but I can’t beat him at this game.

maybe you can give an example of what fingers are held up and what one might think the answer is and what the true answer is- what exactly is the object because I am not getting what would be the ‘mind game ‘ part by what you are presenting. If each finger represents a number, is it more complicated than remembering what number each finger represents and adding them up when combinations are shown? I am not understanding the object here .
Yes i know the game… It is a mind game actually there is a technique the answer will be the number he mentioned before the last number… If this is 1, this is 4 and so what is this (showing 5)– the answer is 4
You mean they say “What is this number” and hold up, let’s say, their pinkie and thumb? If so, and…
Thumb=1
Index=2
Middle=3
Ring=4
Pinkie=5
Then wouldn’t the Answer be six? Because The Thumb = 1 and the pinkie = 5 and 5+1 = 6. Just a guess, as I have never played the game. But I know how you feel when someone you think is dumber than you, can beat you at something. You think you should be able to beat them at it, but you can’t. It sucks, I know…
Depending on which number you designated to what finger, the combination of fingers held up would tell you what numbers to add up, the sum is the answer.
Lol, I just did it to my sister and I held up three fingers for the last part. She said, “Four.” I don’t know why that happened, but I’m still laughing at her. Thanks.
shouldnt the answer be 2? or 7
the trick is that the answer is the number before it. so when you get to five, then on one get asked what number it is, its five. it continues in that pattern. its more a memory game than anything else.
it aint really a mind game, the way he has it set up, it could be any # he wants. That guy is a true genius. lol
its #1….there is only 1 finger…it is a trick question!
