The term Bhabi in Hindi and Urdu generally means wife of one’s brother. However, I was corrected by someone lately that the term is only appropriate for wife of an OLDER brother only. Although the Urdu dictionary I looked up does not seem to restrict it, but from my experience, this rule seems somewhat reliable. Please clarify if you fully understood my question.

Bhabhi has the same meaning in Hindi as it has in Urdu. It means brother’s wife — brother may be younger or older. For younger brother’s wife there is no separate word. You can say “chhoti bhabhi” to clarify.
However, the word for husband’s brother is “devar/jeth”; “devar” means husband’s younger brother, “jeth” means husband’s elder brother. “Devarani” and “jethani” are their wives respectively.
